DIA DE LOS MUERTOS YOUTH ART EXHIBITION
Corpus Christi area students in Grades 7 – 12 were invited to submit artwork for the Dia de los Muertos Festival’s Youth Art Exhibition. The exhibition as held at the Bay Jewel Event Center, Oct 27, 2018 during the festival 3pm to 12am. Special Thanks to T-Shirt Gallery and Sports for sponsoring this exhibition.

2019 Youth Art Exhibition Guidelines:
No Fee to Enter. One entry allowed per student. The label form provided must be attached to each work of art submitted.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTWORK
All entries must be student’s original artwork. Entries may not be copied from a published artwork or photograph. Entries must have been created within the past year. Entries must reference and/or represent the Dia de los Muertos holiday. Class projects may be submitted.
Works may be in any medium including digital meda. K Space reserves the right to reject any work for any reason.
- 2D ART WORK
2D artwork should be mounted on stiff mat board or cardboard, UNFRAMED. The mat board or cardboard must be the same size as the artwork. Maximum size of entry is 16in. x 20in.
- 3D ART WORK
Maximum size of entry 16in. in height, 12in. x 12in. for base.
Submitted youth artworks will be judged for awards. Awards will be given in the following categories for both 2D and 3D: Grades 6 – 9 and
Grades 10 – 12. Award Certificates will be placed with the winning works of art.
All artwork must be dropped off by SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20. Each work of art must have a label attached. Artwork must be picked up by SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10. Pick up is the responsibility of the student/family or teacher.
- October 19 – Last day to drop off Artwork
- November 2 – Dia de los Muertos Festival and Youth exhibition at Bay Jewel Event Center, 624 Mesquite St.
- Nov. 16 – Last day to pick up artwork
